CFBLUG Frequently Asked Questions
Ever since the first circuit board was soldered into life, groups of technology enthusiast have met to share their findings and to learn about the newest technology, latest hacks, and to talk to others with similar interests.
Some might feel they have more to share than to learn and others might feel the opposite. At the CFBLUG, we invite both crowds; encouraging more experienced users to toute their experiences with the amazing power of Open Source, BSD, Linux or any other technology for that matter. We also hope that newer users come out with an eager will to learn, ask questions, and hopefully poke and prod at their own personal systems to further their understanding. No matter the skill level, we should all be able to take something away from what the CFBLUG has to offer.
At the moment, the CFBLUG is still pretty new and is always looking for new members. We encourage new members to signup the the mailing list or post to the CFBLUG forum.
We also plan to have monthly meetings, though finding a place with the winter hours upon us has proven difficult. If anyone has any suggestions on a place to meet, please contact me via the contact form or mailing list. Coffee is plus and WiFi is a must. We previously met at The Connection internet cafe, but they have since closed down.
Also, I this it would be neat to get some sort of install fest arranged at some point in the future. This traditional Users Group event encourages new people to come out and get Linux installed on their personal box as well as allow existing users to get help with a current setup or preexisting problem.
